Pillar number 5 is rest. There are two parts to rest. The primary aspect of rest involves sleep. The night is made for rest and the day is made for work. Thus, our best sleep is at night in a dark environment. The second aspect of rest deals with fasting. Adults should consider fasting especially those in sedentary societies. Digestion is the most difficult activity engage in on a daily basis. When the body is given rest from the digestive work, it can concentrate on other initiatives that have been dormant and need to be addressed. Our teacher taught that fasting is the cure for 90 per cent of our ills
